Over the years, Metropolis Labs holds a positive track record in retaining women employees and almost 240 plus women have been working with the company for over a decade. With 43% of women representation in the workforce, Metropolis is recognized for providing women employees with supportive and inclusive work culture, various opportunities to learn and grow, and a safe working environment. As we continue to strengthen our legacy of being a #womencentricorganization, we are thrilled to launch the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiative ‘The Full Circle – Career 2.0’. It is a first-of-its kind initiative in the diagnostic industry which aims to help those women who have taken a break from their careers and are now looking forward to restarting them. This program is open to applicants across the country for various roles such as pathologists, doctors, technicians, HR, marketing, sales, and a few others. The differentiating factor of this DE&I initiative in the industry is the provision of flexible work options such as Work from Home (WFH), Hybrid, Part-time, Full-time, Hourly or Project basis, that will enable the women professionals to balance their personal and professional responsibilities comfortably. Candidates from any work background are encouraged to apply for this program, wherein Metropolis will assess their individual qualifications and match them with suitable job openings within the company based on their availability and requirements. The pilot launch of this initiative has already garnered a positive response from candidates and the company has received around 50 applications to date. The Goal of Achieving Gender Equality and Empowerment of Women and Girls to the fullest has always been our motto at Metropolis Labs. All our CSR initiatives are being designed and implemented to accomplish this goal. It is so heartening to witness that our leadership team member Dr. Kirti Chadha propagate on Gender Equality and Inclusivity through her inspiring messages to the upcoming generations in her individual capacity. Dr Kirti Chadha, Chief Scientific Officer and Group Head – CSR, Metropolis Healthcare was recently invited as a Chief Guest at the 16th Scholarship Awards Function hosted by #MalhotraWeiKFieldFoundation. She gave an enriching and eye-opening interview session at the event advocating on #genderequality and #worklifebalance . She elaborated by citing her own examples on how she managed to be successful in life, both personally and professionally. She emphasized that one needs to keep on moving and going ahead with their life without getting attached or basking in the glory of the name and fame. She put forwarded a whole new perspective to the thought of “Soft Creator”, but an “Hard Executor”. Over 100 meritorious students pursuing Post-Graduate and Undergraduate studies in various fields of Pure Sciences, mainly hailing from rural areas and from families with low incomes were awarded full scholarship to enable them to successfully pursue their studies.
