#NationalDengueDay2022 “When a person is suspected of having a dengue fever, blood tests are done for diagnosis. The test should be chosen according to the stage of the disease. It is very crucial to select an appropriate test to avoid false negative results and also for timely management of the patient, especially in severe cases” emphasizes Dr. Neha Herlekar, Microbiologist, Metropolis Labs. Check out this article covered in Onlymyhealth in which Dr. Neha explains about the different tests and ways to diagnose Dengue Fever. https://www.onlymyhealth.com/how-to-diagnose-dengue-fever-1652362055 #NationalDengueDay2022

#ProstateCancer is the second most frequent cancer and the fifth leading cause of cancer death among men. Since it is a slow growing tumour, doctors suggest that an early detection leads to better chances of successful treatment. Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA) test has been proven to be an efficient, easy, and cost-effective method of screening for prostate cancer. Here’s our research study reinforcing the importance of PSA screening test, which has been published in the International Journal of Health Sciences and Research. This study showed a statistical correlation of age and PSA with prostatic carcinoma identified through prostatic core needle biopsies. The risk of cancer is minimal with a PSA less than 4 ng/ml whereas an elevated PSA is associated with pathology and hence even a borderline elevation should not be ignored. We congratulate and thank all our doctors Kunjal Lila, Dr. Kirti Chadha, Dr. Shaikhali M Barodawala, Dr. Vikas S Kavishwar and Dr. Anuradha K Murthy for contributing to this research study. #ProstateCancer
