Over the years, Metropolis Labs holds a positive track record in retaining women employees and almost 240 plus women have been working with the company for over a decade. With 43% of women representation in the workforce, Metropolis is recognized for providing women employees with supportive and inclusive work culture, various opportunities to learn and grow, and a safe working environment. As we continue to strengthen our legacy of being a #womencentricorganization, we are thrilled to launch the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiative ‘The Full Circle – Career 2.0’. It is a first-of-its kind initiative in the diagnostic industry which aims to help those women who have taken a break from their careers and are now looking forward to restarting them. This program is open to applicants across the country for various roles such as pathologists, doctors, technicians, HR, marketing, sales, and a few others. The differentiating factor of this DE&I initiative in the industry is the provision of flexible work options such as Work from Home (WFH), Hybrid, Part-time, Full-time, Hourly or Project basis, that will enable the women professionals to balance their personal and professional responsibilities comfortably. Candidates from any work background are encouraged to apply for this program, wherein Metropolis will assess their individual qualifications and match them with suitable job openings within the company based on their availability and requirements. The pilot launch of this initiative has already garnered a positive response from candidates and the company has received around 50 applications to date. Dr. Nilesh Shah, President and Chief of Research and Innovation, Metropolis Labs recently participated in a panel discussion titled ‘Making Patients Aware on Safety Standards’ at the 9th edition of the International Patient Safety Conference (IPSC). Facilitated by #NATHealth Healthcare Federation of India in association with Apollo Hospitals, this panel discussion threw light on the importance of Patient Safety and the role that diagnostic industry can play to ensure it. In this session, Dr Nilesh Shah emphasized that today’s patient community is curious to know and understand the end-to-end processes and outcomes of the diagnosis and treatment. Therefore, effective patient communication will play a crucial role in the healthcare industry. We need to bring more transparency to patients by developing and sharing patient-friendly communication materials in a simplified language which they can easily understand. The healthcare industry, including diagnostics, has already realized the need and have been working on different and innovative ways of communicating with patients across multiple touchpoints. The International Patient Safety Conference (IPSC) is an annual event platform to learn from patient safety experts across the world. It has become a powerful platform where best practices and innovations in patient safety are shared through informative presentations, panel discussions, debates, paper presentations and other well-knit sessions. #patientsafety #diagnostics #healthcare #patientcommunication #NATHealth #patientsafety #diagnostics #healthcare #patientcommunication
