#Genetictesting plays an integral part in diagnosing and treating lung cancer. Genetic testing looks for mutations which help develop tailored treatment plans. Using Genetic testing, one can identify changes in lung cells that may trigger and contribute to cancer growth – “Biomarkers”. Identifying the biomarkers helps Oncologist arrive at the best approach to treatment. These targeted therapies are less invasive than traditional cancer treatments because they do not destroy healthy cells – they stop the cancer cells from growing and reproducing.” – says #MetropolisScientificexpert Dr Kirti Chadha, (Chief Scientific Officer, Metropolis Healthcare) in her interview to #Onlymyhealth. Find out more in this article, as she elaborates on the importance of Genetic testing in early detection, and treatment of #LungCancer. #WestNileVirus (WNV), a close relative of Dengue Virus, causes a zoonotic disease, i.e., a disease which occurs in animals and humans. It is transmitted to humans by a bite of a Culex mosquito. Isolated cases have been documented from Southern and eastern parts of India; however, none has converted into an epidemic since 2011, unlike Europe, Africa, America, and the Middle East. In this interview with onlymyhealth.com, #MetropolisScientificexpert Dr. Vishal Wadhwa, Head – Scientific Affairs, Metropolis Labs throws light on the West Nile Virus, its symptoms and prevention. He also highlights that while the disease burden is less, it also makes an exceedingly difficult case for diagnosis for the doctor as symptoms overlap with other mosquito borne diseases like #dengue, #chikungunya, #zikavirus infection and #malaria which are more common. #metropolislabs #leadingdiagnosticsplayer #diagnosis #virusinfection #healthcarehttps://www.onlymyhealth.com/west-nile-virus-symptoms-and-when-should-we-worry-1661448243 #WestNileVirus #MetropolisScientificexpert #dengue #chikungunya #zikavirus #malaria #metropolislabs #leadingdiagnosticsplayer #diagnosis #virusinfection #healthcare
